Unlike a chaotic group chat where your phone buzzes constantly, a Community is structured and respectful of your time. It acts as an umbrella for different focused groups.
When you join, you will automatically be added to the main Announcements channel (where the District team posts essential, read-only updates). From there, you can choose exactly which specific sub-groups you want to request to join based on your role.

Section Leaders: Dedicated groups for York Squirrel Leaders, Beaver Leaders, Cub Leaders, Scout Leaders, and Explorer Leaders to share program ideas and event planning.
Network & Youth: Connect with the York Scout Network or collaborate with the City of York Youth Team.
Management & Governance: Dedicated spaces for York Group Lead Volunteers and Group Chairs of Trustees to share best practices and guidance.
